Hello Bernard App Privacy
This policy applies to current TestFlight builds of Hello Bernard for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
What stays on your device
No Bernard account is required for the core workflow. Hello Bernard stores Knowledge Packs, imported files, attachments, and app data on your device. Work performed locally remains on your device and is not sent to Bernard. The current builds do not use iCloud synchronization.
When you use an online feature
Online features send the information needed to complete your request outside your device. Depending on the feature, this may include your question, selected Knowledge Pack or artwork context, searches, images or documents you choose, live audio used for online voice, and device or app-verification information. Apple Intelligence may process work on the device or use Apple Private Cloud Compute. Bernard and service providers used to deliver the selected feature may process other online requests.
Your choices
You can select Stay on This Mac or Stay on This Device and turn off online research in Settings. Access to selected files and photos, the microphone, and speech recognition can be changed in your device settings.
Local data remains under your control on the device. For information processed online, email us with questions about retention or to request deletion of information Bernard controls.
